A GPS Navigation device is a device that uses a global positioning system to tell you where you are in relation to the world around you. GPS devices are used by drivers, hikers, hunters, campers, and an entire range of people in other similar roles in order to help them get where they are going… and for good reason! Navigating without aid can be difficult. Old fashioned maps either require you to unfold them while you are driving, or to waste time as you pull over and study them.

Navigation devices eliminate the need for older maps by telling you exactly where you are. They even go beyond this, however, by telling you how to get where you want to go after allowing you to input a specific address into the system. There are many different GPS brands out there today, though all of them basically operate with similar principles.

Why Buy It?

So why buy a GPS navigational device? In short, people buy them because they make navigating much easier. These types of devices basically give you turn by turn voice directions, making finding an address, a business, or a friend’s home as easy as possible. New modern GPS devices even use more conversational language to give you these directions, opting to give users the names of popular landmarks instead of the ‘generic’ distances and street names that they used to give in the past.

Navigating with a GPS is truly hassle-free and easy… though they are not all perfect. GPS systems can also be very different from one-another where quality is concerned.

What To Look For Before Buying

Before buying your own GPS system, it is important that you look at several different factors. Here on Gookayed.com, we believe that consumers have a right to know the good and bad points of every product… and GPS systems are no exception. By viewing our expertly researched reviews, you can be sure to find out everything that you need to know in order to make a wise, informed choice about which navigational system to buy. In fact, we talk about these issues and more in every single GPS review featured on our website!

Here is just a small part of what you can hope to learn by browsing through some of our top-notch reviews…

Design

In this section, you will find out exactly what the design of the GPS in question is like and whether or not it lends itself to true value for the consumer. Is the device large or small? Is it heavy or light? Is it bulky or slim? You can expect to find answers to all of these questions and more in each one of our reviews.

Of course, you want your GPS system to be well-designed, though this often has much farther-reaching implications than just how it looks. There is a very good chance that the design will impact how well it functions, how well it can be mounted, and also how easy it is to use.

Features

In the ‘features’ section of our reviews, you can expect to learn everything you need to know about what features the GPS device ships with. Do they work as well as they are supposed to? Will you find them useful in everyday situations, or are you paying more for needless bells and whistles? These are all important questions, and this is the part of the review where we break it all down and find out what you are really getting under the hood of your GPS unit. You should definitely read this section and completely understand the features offered before buying any GPS navigational device

Cost

Cost is a very important category to consider. Of course, the biggest question is whether or not the GPS being reviewed is worth the money, and that is exactly what our reviews examine thoroughly from beginning to end. As a consumer, you cannot afford to waste money on gadgets that are not going to pay for themselves over and over again, which is exactly why we take the cost seriously and use it as a major part of the equation to determine whether or not a particular GPS unit may or may not be right for you.

Company History

Learning the history of a company can give you a glimpse into where their mindset is today… and that is important. We make an effort in every review to cover at least a basic history of the company, thereby allowing you, the consumer, to get a feel for who you are thinking about buying from. Have they been around for a long time? Do they have a good reputation? Have they won any awards? These are all questions that you can look to have answered by our reviews.

Support

Few things are as important as service after the sale. Any company can sell a product, but only the truly great companies commit to taking care of you after you have bought what they are selling. In this section, we make an effort to read some real customer reviews, to do some research, and to determine just how well customers can expect to be taken care of. We talk about things like contact information, warranties, hold times for phone calls, etc.

Pros and Cons

In the pros and cons section of our review, we break down and condense everything that we have talked about and put it into an easy-to-understand list of upsides and down sides. Here, you will find out what is good and what is bad, and will be able to take it all in in one comprehensive reading.

Our Stamp

And of course, in this section, we talk about whether or not the product in question has earned our ‘stamp of approval’. If we deem it worth the money and a product that would bring undeniable value to your life, then we give it our stamp. We don’t otherwise rate or grade products, so the stamp is a lot like the ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’. In this section we also talk about why the product does or doesn’t deserve our stamp, and give a bit of a review conclusion that should sum everything up in one or two paragraphs.
