TestBoost contains a new ingredient that we haven't seen before - it's from a plant called Mucuna Pruriens, which kept us interested!
The name seems to say it all.
Natural testosterone boosters are hitting the shelves hard, and consumers are liking them… but how does TestBoost stand out amongst the growing crowd? Is it a product that’s going to get you results, or is it just another fancy, fad diet product?
Here’s what you need to know.
What is it?
Test Boost is basically a 100% natural workout supplement that was designed to help boost natural testosterone levels in the human body. It contains no steroids, causes no side effects, and is made up of completely safe and natural ingredients.
What is it supposed to do?
The official product website says this about what Test Boost is supposed to do for the consumer…
“Pack on the muscle, burn your unwanted fat, and put your sex life into high gear with Test Boost.”
It also says this…
“Test Boost is designed to raise testosterone to levels that will increase muscle mass, increase sex drive and libido, and decrease body fat.”
So basically, Test Boost is what you would call a ‘typical’ natural testosterone boosting supplement – in every sense of the word.
Does it work?
This is, by far, the most important question – because why would you want to spend your money on a product that isn’t going to work?
We looked at all of the information available – which mostly came from the official product website, as there aren’t many customer reviews for it available as of yet online. First of all, we were very pleased to see that they offer an outstanding return policy! We also took a good, close look at the formulation of ingredients.
Right away, we saw that the formulation contained a number of tried and trusted ingredients – but we also saw a bit of a newcomer in the addition of a plant called Mucuna Pruriens. We looked into this one a bit, as we hadn’t seen it before – but found it to be quite reputable as a historical herbal plant that’s been used medicinally for literally thousands of years.
Granted, the evidence for it is mostly holistic – but we all know that there is often more to these ‘holistic’ ingredients than meets the eye… and we feel that this is likely the case with this component.
Taking all of this into account, we felt that Test Boost deserves a good two thumbs up. It might not work for everyone, but the ingredients are safe and side-effect free – so you aren’t really taking a risk by giving it a try. Plus, it comes with an outstanding 90 day money back guarantee if you order more than 3 months’ worth – which reduces the odds of losing out financially if it doesn’t end up working for you.
But with that being said, we actually felt pretty good about this formulation. We liked that it contained Vitamin B3 and Zinc as well, as these ingredients are becoming more and more well-known for their T-boosting benefits.
Complete list of ingredients
Here is the complete ingredient list for Test Boost, as recorded on the official product website.
- D-Aspartic Acid… 1,800 mg
This is an amino acid that’s admittedly pretty common in testosterone boosters – but for good reason. It is known for its ability to stimulate the testes, which in turn helps them to produce more testosterone. Several studies have validated its effectiveness, making it a solid addition to any T-boosting supplement.
- Fenugreek… 100 mg
Fenugreek is another common ingredient that we see in a lot of testosterone boosters. It contains saponins, which are basically chemical compounds that help to trigger an increase in natural testosterone production. This is another ingredient that is backed up by some solid science – and we were happy to see it included.
- Vitamin D3… 5200 IU
Vitamin D3 has been getting a lot of attention lately for its ability to help with better testosterone levels, so we were pretty excited to see it included in Test Boost. One study, conducted at the Medical University of Graz, showed that supplementing with Vitamin D for a year increased T levels in test subjects by an average of about 20%!
- Zinc… 11 mg
Zinc helps the pituitary gland to stimulate the production of more testosterone in the testes. This is primarily caused by luteinizing hormone, which is released by the pituitary gland to trigger the stimulation of the testes. Several studies have concluded that Zinc is an excellent ingredient to supplement with if you’re looking to boost T levels naturally.
- Magnesium… 200 mg
This silver-white metal is used to make lightweight alloys – but it’s also a mineral that regulates over 300 different biochemical reactions throughout the human body. Some of these help to raise levels of free testosterone within the male body, giving this super-mineral a definite spot on what is already a solid lineup of ingredients in Test Boost.
- Mucuna Pruriens… 200 mg
This is an ingredient that we don’t see very often – so we were very curious about how it would fit into Test Boost’s formulation.
It is perhaps most well known as ‘Velvet bean’, and is a tropical legume that has been used by ancient healers for hundreds of years. It used to be used to treat snakebites, intestinal disorders, and mood swings – but it was also used to increase sexual response.
It helps to support brain health, reduces stress, and (more importantly for Test Boost) reduces prolactin levels in the body – which serves to help stop the depletion of testosterone in the male human body.
What does this mean?
We definitely felt that the ingredient list was solid for Test Boost. Obviously, it contains the usual honorable mentions… Fenugreek, D-Aspartic Acid, Zinc, etc. This was a definite upside because they are all pretty accepted as effective in the T-boosting supplement community.
But this supplement also contains some new additions that we haven’t seen much of. Mucuna Pruriens, for example, was an ingredient that we’ve never really encountered before – and we were pretty excited about that. This is actually an ingredient that’s making pretty big waves in the supplement community as of late, especially for its reputation for being able to benefit sexual response… so it certainly seemed like a good addition to Test Boost, and gave this supplement some uniqueness.
It’s obviously difficult to say exactly how this product would work for sure without more customer reviews to look at – but from the ingredient list, it seems logical that the formulation itself would be quite beneficial.
Different supplements work differently for different people, but we felt pretty good about TestBoost in most respects. We would say that it’s worth a try if you’re looking for a natural T-booster with some uniqueness thrown into the mix.
