Safe vitamin-based strength booster that will help you with focus, energy, and concentration.
We’re all looking for more safe and effective ways to boost our performance in the gym, on the track, or even in everyday life. We all want to look and feel better, and we want to do so without being required to spend exorbitant amounts of money and without being forced to subject ourselves to negative side effects.
We do a lot of searching and research about products that might help to accomplish this – and we were quite surprised to find out about NiacinMax. This is a new product and a new concept that we really haven’t seen before – so we were incredibly excited to look into it.
Obviously, we had a lot of questions. What is it exactly? How does it work? The company makes some pretty bold claims… but does their product live up to the hype?
Here’s what we found out over the course of our research.
What is it?
The official website says this about NiacinMax on the home page…
“Warning: High Voltage Vitamin… Exposure to NiacinMax will cause unrivalled performance.”
They also claim that their product is the ‘Most powerful Niacin supplement on the market.’
To be more specific, this product is basically a Niacin supplement that’s in strip form instead of a capsule or pill form. The strip is designed to be dissolved in the mouth, which is said to make it more powerful because this allows more of the niacin to enter the bloodstream.
What is it supposed to do?
First of all, the fact that this product uses strips instead of capsules is certainly unique. These actually reminded us of those breath mint strips that you can buy in convenience stores – but unlike those strips, these deliver powerful amounts of Niacin (Vitamin B3) directly to the bloodstream. The reason for why the strips are supposed to be so much better is because they help the Niacin to avoid the stomach, where much of it would be destroyed before your body could absorb it.
This is why the company claims that it’s the most powerful Niacin supplement on the market – and they may just be correct!
As far as actual, literal benefits go, this supplement is supposed to do the following. It’s supposed to…
- Increase red blood cell production
- Increase your body’s natural levels of human growth hormone
- Increase oxygen flow to the muscles
- Improve oxygen flow to the brain to improve focus and concentration
- The dissolving tongue strip delivers 75mg of pure niacin directly into your bloodstream
The official website even says this about the effectiveness of the product…
“NEW scientifically formulated, bio-structured niacin increases oxygen flow up to 50% and supercharges HGH levels by over 600%.”
These are obviously some serious claims. But are they founded? Or, does the product fall a bit short of the incredible benefits that it was designed to deliver?
This was our next question, and we did quite a bit of research to see what we could find out.
Does it work?
So does NiacinMax really work? This is the most important question.
Since this is a brand-new product, we couldn’t look at customer feedback as an indicator of how well it tends to work for other customers – though we would like to point out that this isn’t necessarily a negative. NiacinMax literally just hit the shelves – so there’s no way that it could have a reputation thus-far. It is new and untested – but it’s so new that it hasn’t even had a chance to prove itself yet.
What we have left to look at then, in this case, is the scientific evidence and the ingredients. Well, this is basically a Niacin supplement – so Niacin is really the main active ingredient. So if there’s going to be anything that’s going to work in this supplement, it’s going to be the Niacin.
Niacin is basically another term for Nicotinic Acid, which is vitamin B3. It is a well-documented vitamin with a lot of clinically proven uses, which makes this product unique. Since NiacinMax is really using a safe, yet powerful dosage of Vitamin B3 to achieve the desired results, they have a ton of clinical evidence on their side – since Vitamin B3 is a very studied and proven vitamin that’s used in a variety of different medical applications.
Foods high in Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
A lot of other supplements try to combine fad ingredients to make special formulations, which isn’t such a bad idea… the results tend to be difficult to gauge, mainly because many of these ingredients haven’t been studied in a clinical setting. So evidence can sometimes be difficult to come by.
But this isn’t the case with NiacinMax. This supplement literally maxes out your intake of vitamin B3, which means that they are sidestepping the other less-tested ingredients to get standalone gains in strength and performance using only this single, clinically proven ingredient.
We really liked this approach from the standpoint of an evidence-based supplement, because Niacin is very well documented and proven to be useful. NiacinMax has an entire page of links on their site that help to show just how powerful (and tested) the main ingredient in this supplement is – which is actually quite rare. A lot of supplements cannot share so much clinical data.
To summarize all of this, we would answer the big question of ‘does it work?’ with the following statement…
As far as we can tell, yes… this seems to be a product that would be very effective, and it is certainly worth a try for anyone interested in a supplement that will help them to look and feel better without filling their body up with untested ingredients.
Complete list of ingredients
The main ingredient in this supplement is simply Niacin, or vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 is a very well-studied ingredient, and is used to treat a wide range of different health problems. It has been used as a cholesterol treatment, and is said to boost levels of good cholesterol even better than some prescription drugs. It helps to prevent atherosclerosis, and is also said to help prevent heart attacks in people who have already had one.
Information! It is also an FDA approved treatment for pellagra.
There is also some evidence that it may be suitable as a treatment for cataracts, Alzheimer’s disease, and type 1 Diabetes – but more research needs to be done in these areas.
To learn more about Vitamin B3, we would suggest visiting the Webmd.com article on the subject, which you can find here: http://www.webmd.com/diet/supplement-guide-niacin#1.
What does this mean?
To summarize all of this, we will simply say that Niacin is definitely a tried-and-tested Vitamin that’s good for your health in a number of different ways. And the fact that it’s the main ingredient in this supplement is definitely a good thing.
Taking into account the fact that these mouth strips would help to deliver the Niacin directly into the bloodstream, and also taking into account how good Vitamin B3 is for the body, we believe that this supplement could be seriously beneficial, and we believe that there’s a very good chance that it would do exactly what it claims.
